African American History Tour

Beginning at The Jack Hadley Black History Museum, home to nearly 5,000 preserved African-American artifacts, this driven tour tells the full and inclusive story of Thomasville's heritage. Tour stops include The Flipper Cemetery, also known as Old Magnolia Cemetery, and the Church of Good Shepherd. The tour concludes with a visit to The Imperial Hotel, built by the five Lewis brothers and listed in the Greenbook, a traveling guide for African-Americans in the South during the 1930s-1960s. This is a driven tour lasting approximately 3 hours. Ticket will include admission to the museum.
